Jesus Medina has been a valued member of the Averitt team for six years, starting his journey with us as a part-time dock associate. His career growth exemplifies our "Promote From Within" philosophy. After gaining experience on the dock, Jesus transitioned into an operational support role and later earned a promotion to Frontline Leader.
Watch as Jesus shares his journey with Averitt and how his experience as a dock associate and in operational support has shaped him into a stronger leader today.
My name is, Jesus Medina. I've been with, Aver Express a little over six years now. I started as a part time doc associate, then went to a operational support role, and here recently, about a year ago, recently promoted to a frontline leader. A lot of that has to be with how I started, you know, part time doc, operational support. So I've seen the ins and outs of the operation, but all that I've used in my repertoire to come in day in and day out and, you know, be a good lead for all these, doctor associates here, you know, giving them the resources to be the best that they can. You know, don't leave them blind, as I would say. Sky's the limit here, to be honest. I mean, I love it here. Great people to work with. A lot of the, frontline leaders here, I was friends with them before we got into our role. So, I mean, the promoting from within is something that encourages you to just keep climbing the ladder up here.
