There's a lot more movement at Averitt than just driving. Our dock associates are the backbone of our facilities.
Using digital scanners and top-notch modern equipment, they manage the day-to-day loading and unloading of freight throughout our system in a safe and professional atmosphere.
And because they're so familiar with how we work, they make great candidates for operational leaders when new positions open.

Our Dock Mentor Program is designed to support our new dock associates. The mentors help new dock associates learn the ropes, understand safety procedures, and find opportunities to provide the absolute highest quality of service in their roles.
So far, we have nearly 40 dock mentors in place at 14 facilities. These are associates who have great experience and want to share what they've learned with their teammates.
Additionally, our Dock Mentor Program is a unique opportunity for associates who may be interested in a leadership role in the future.
