We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year! In 1971, Gary Sasser purchased a small carrier called Averitt Express. At the time, it had only two associates, three tractors and five trailers. From that beginning, we've grown a company that has made a huge impact on the trucking industry and the communities we serve. Here's a quick look at some of our successes and how we've grown over the last five decades:
