Home Time

Home every week! 92% of our Flatbed drivers are home by noon on Saturdays and average 50 hours at home each week.

Coverage Area

Primarily South, Midwest and lower Northeast lanes with a typical dispatch within 500-600 miles of your domicile. 

No NYC or Canada!

 

Freight

Primarily hauling steel, lumber and building materials, but never logs, hay, crushed cars, cowhides or trash.

Freight hauled customer-to-customer.

Regional flatbed drivers travel America's highways throughout the South, Midwest and lower Northeast lanes (AL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MS, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, VA, WV). With a typical dispatch keeping you within 500 miles from your home domicile ensuring you'll be home every single week.

And when you're enjoying home time, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your tractor and its contents are securely parked back at the service center.

Per Diem Program

Averitt offers a company-sponsored per diem program. This is a great benefit to our driving force, allowing our drivers to take advantage of tax savings and putting more money into their pockets every week!

Regional Flatbed Driver Pay

  • NEW $1,250 weekly guaranteed minimum pay
    • To qualify for the minimum guaranteed pay each week, drivers must be available Monday - Friday (5 days) that week
    • Our drivers average $1,440 per week
  • Paid by practical miles
  • If less than 6 months' experience, please refer to our paid training programs
  • Virtual orientation you can complete from the comfort of your home
  • Company-sponsored per diem program
    • Adds an average of $80-$100 in tax savings to your paycheck each week
  • We pay loaded or empty
  • $15 load secure fee paid on every load (for strapping, chaining, etc.)
  • $60 tarp pay
  • $30 on re-tarp or un-tarp (in the event of a stop-off)
  • $100 stop pay (not to include origin or destination)
  • $7.50 for a load picked up from yard and required to un-tarp before delivery
  • Breakdown ($20/hour; takes effect after two hours, not to exceed 10 hours in a 24-hour period)
  • Layover ($200 after a 24-hour period)
  • Detention ($20/hour after two hours for majority of customers)
  • Minimum Mileage Pay
    • Loads less than 150 miles including empty move will be paid at 350 miles.
    • Loads between 151 miles and 450 miles including empty miles will be paid at 450 miles minimum
