Regional drivers at Averitt carry freight across 16 states, primarily South and Midwest lanes with a typical dispatch within 500 miles of domicile. You'll never have to sacrifice your right to home time every single week - 90 percent of our drivers are home by noon on Saturdays, with an average of 55+ hours home each weekend. Our CDL-A Regional drivers also enjoy 100% no-touch freight.
Regional flatbed drivers at Averitt travel America's highways throughout the South and Midwest while also getting to be home every single week. Our professional flatbed service has set a new standard for shippers. We hope you’ll consider being a part of the most service-oriented, professional flatbed team in the nation.
Dedicated (also referred to as "supply chain") drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.
Our Dedicated Flex positions offer a good balance of driving for a variety of dedicated customers. That's a nice way of saying this isn't your typical dedicated driving position. Our Flex drivers haul for a variety of customers, but will only work for 1 account/customer at a time (a minimum of 1 week or until the customer's needs are met) then haul another dedicated customer's product. Flex Drivers may occasionally be asked to drive within Averitt's other driving divisions, including regional truckload or local LTL delivery, among others, depending on business levels.
Local or city drivers become the champions of a local area, having the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with the customers they serve.
You’ll enjoy in-cab technology that makes it a breeze to talk with dispatch and navigate a route. And because many local positions enjoy daily hometime, this is an ideal position for anyone whose roots at home go deep.
There are several different types of local driving opportunities at Averitt:
Team drivers work together to drive more miles weekly and move freight longer distances and regular frequency. At Averitt, you can bring your own co-driver, or we can work to pair you with a compatible co-driver for your team route. We currently have team driving positions on our LTL shuttle and some dedicated accounts. Click the links below and look for positions that are identified as team positions.
