This month Averitt welcomed over 800 associates, family members, and friends to the annual Averitt Family Softball Tournament in Nashville! Due to COVID-19, this is the first time in two years that this event has occurred.
18 teams competed in 34 games total with the Cracker Barrel 2 team being the champion in the men's division and the Nashville team being the victor in the co-ed division. Attendees were treated to fantastic weather, food, games and highlight-reel action on the field while cheering on their teams.
Throughout the day, there were 37 home-runs and Caleb Goff of the Nashville co-ed team won the home-run contest, tallying three for the day.
It was also a great opportunity to highlight the importance of Averitt Cares for Kids and our special relationship with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In honor of the team effort that made the tournament an outstanding event, the company is donating $20,000 to Averitt Cares for Kids!
Thank you again to everyone who played, attended or volunteered, and we look forward to an even greater event next year!
