Joe Ramsey is an Averitt regional driver and a member of our driver advisory council. Why does he love driving as part of the Averitt team? "We're all family," according to Joe.
I'm Joe Ramsey I'm a truckload driver out of New Orleans. I like Averitt because we're a company that's strong and we stay together. It's like we have equipment, all our equipment are new. You never hardly ever see us on the side of the road. Mechanic shops we have a mechanic shop that's in all our service centers and we have a lot of service centers where to where we don't have to stay in the truck stop overnight. We have showers and everybody's cooperative we have all nationalities work together that's here and everybody get together like a family and we home basically every weekend if you choose to be. You have to even work all week you want to get on with your friends or church or whatever. Whatever you may have to do on the weekend that you like to do I mean if you need to get off early you just let the fleet manager, with the fleet manager very cooperative, just let them know and they will make sure they'll stage your route where you can get home. Another thing like I said we all family here. We're all family everybody gets along with everybody. You can run into or meet someone who's always willing to give you a hand.
