Tammy Whichard is an Averitt regional truckload driver based in North Carolina and is also a member of our Driver Advisory Council. When asked "Why did you choose Averitt?," Tammy had several reasons that brought her to the Averitt team!
According to Tammy, the primary reason that attracted her to Averitt was the team's dedication to getting regional drivers home weekly. She also values Averitt's professionalism and driver support. "The driver support can't be matched by other companies," says Tammy, "because when I call at 3am on a Saturday night ... someone answers the phone."
What about Tammy's goals for the future? She has her eyes on a leadership role in the future. "I have a goal of being a service center director, and I've gotten some positive feedback from my leadership about moving that direction."
Good luck, Tammy! Can't wait to see what your future holds!
