George began his career in our Charlotte warehouse, gaining hands-on experience at the service center dock before going full-time in 2021. From there, he transitioned to roles such as relay freight clerk and OS&D, ultimately earning a promotion to frontline leader earlier this year. His upward trajectory highlights the potential for advancement within our network.

“When I saw all the different roles at the service center, I recognized the potential for growth within the company,” George shares.

A key to George’s success has been his willingness to take on new challenges.

“I’ve always been the type to raise my hand and say, ‘Yes, I want to learn,’” he explains. “I’m passionate about developing myself and encouraging others to do the same. It’s inspiring to see the people I started with grow alongside me, and we often reflect on how far we’ve come.”

George credits his positive mindset and ability to embrace constructive feedback as critical factors in his development. He also highlights the role his leaders, such as Charlotte Operations Manager Rodney Tate, played in pushing him to reach his full potential.

“Rodney is one of the most passionate leaders I’ve worked with,” George notes. “He consistently challenges me to be better, and I’ve learned to see the positive in that push.”

George encourages anyone seeking growth to step outside their comfort zone, take on new responsibilities, and learn from every experience.

“Every day is an opportunity to grow,” George says. “Learn from your mistakes, don’t settle for complacency, and always strive to be better than you were the day before.”
