If you're looking for a great example of Averitt's culture of promoting from within, it's Vincent Washington. Vincent started his Averitt career as a part-time dock associate and has also served as a full-time dock associate, frontline leader, and sales associate. Recently, Vincent accepted the role of Service Center Director at our Augusta facility. Watch this video to hear more of Vincent's story.
At Averitt, our people fuel everything we do, and we're always on the move, always growing. So our people grow right along with us. We hire the best of the best and invest in training every associate to their fullest potential. That's why we promote from within and why the best person for the job is usually one of us. In fact, promoting from within is one of our core values. It's as much a part of who we are as Red Trucks. But don't take our word for it. Ask one of the many hundreds of associates who can tell you firsthand. My career at Averitt started part time at the dock. So I started part time on the dock, I transitioned from there to driver. From driver, I drove for about a year and a half. And after that, I went into operations, dispatched for about fourteen years, and from there I transitioned into the sales department where I worked about three years and just recently became was promoted to service center director in Augusta. Whether you're part time or full time, on the dock or in our call center, our associates are always first in line for promotions and new job opportunities with Averitt. The people always encourage, encourage growth. And one of the first things I come to know with Averitt was growth from within. The numbers speak for themselves. Nearly fifteen percent of our associates have been growing with us for twenty plus years, and we're looking for more. More leaders, more doers, more people who are ready for what's next. At Averitt, we believe you shouldn't have to switch careers or companies to change your job. I wanted to learn more. I wanted to be out there. I wanted to be a part of what Averitt has to offer the family that Averitt has to offer. Ready to grow? Turn here.
