My name is Daryl White I am the PND operations manager for Averitt Express in Dallas. The year I started was April of 1995. I came to Averitt as a city driver because of my experience, I was a driver trainer. A new director came to town and for some reason, I guess he saw something and what he did was he began with me starting at the driver trainer. Pretty soon I was actually speaking and conducting driver meetings for new associates. From there I became a driver lead. I would work platform I would drive working dispatch during training and in 1999 a front line leader spot came open. I was selected for that role and I worked in that role for approximately 18 years. So, we take great pride in our ability to grow and develop associates and drivers whether it be leaders I make it a point to develop old and new associates the way I look at that it is my role to develop the next leader. Everyone has potential, it's up to me as a leader to define it, raise it to teach them the culture, and bring it out of them. The culture of Averitt I would say it is supportive, encouraging, caring, and that alone is unusual amongst any company. I'm a prime example of Averitt promoting from within because of the simple fact where I started as a driver, I don't know of any other company anywhere that seeks the driving force and continues to raise them out throughout the company to be managers leaders, service center directors, or any avenue with Averitt Express you can go anywhere. Whether it be supply chain, warehousing, distribution, there are opportunities throughout.
