Rigo even referred his son Jesse through Averitt's referral program! You can learn more about Averitt's dock-to-driver program at AverittCareers.com/dock-to-driver.
Well, my name is Rigo Berto Martinez, and everybody calls me Rig and I started the dock at 2002 and around 2015-16 I started truck driving. My name is Jesse Martinez sometimes people on the dock call me little Rig. I started as a dock worker but now I'm working as a sprinter band doing deliveries and hopefully soon be a truck driver just like my dad. Averitt they helped me with the training pretty much you just gotta hustle the yard on the little hustling buggy you know for a couple of years and make sure you know you know how to drive good and uh back in and everything in the yard so when I hit the road you know I'd be comfortable with my driving after that I went and got my permit and you know I use when I was taking my CDO test uh Averitt they reimbursed me for all my uh tests so they helped a lot so if you want to take advantage of that dock to driver program you should do it you know it's good money you know. I referred my brother Jose and my son Jesse to people like you program referral program so. When you refer people, you know you get a bonus little bonus and some points, so it helps out a lot. Oh, my brother Jose he's a city driver so I got him hired in and so far he's liking the city job so he's enjoying it. I plan to refer some people here at Averitt so I'm trying to refer one of my friends because he has his little CDL license so hopefully if it goes good, he could probably come over here he's a hard worker. I always like this job and there's good benefits and stuff so good pay so pretty much everything's good you know, and you know the four 401k is good. Averitt's healthcare plan it's good I came off of my parent's insurance and Averitt just helped me be on my own. Averitt Express is a good career to start you know build your way up to a driver and a good people in a good environment everybody treats you like your family.
