Averitt Cares for Kids: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® Check Presentation

I'm at St. Q today because Averitt participates in what we call Averitt Cares for Kids, and it's where associates donate a portion of their payroll to the charity to help fund research and take care of these kids while they're here. We are so appreciative that you're here. There's a quote on that wall from our founder Danny Thomas that said he'd rather have one dollar from a million people than a million from one. And you guys are living that out today and it shows how the collective impact that you can have. Averitt has a giving culture and a caring culture. And you see another organization that has so many of same attributes at your own company, it's just like a magnet. It draws in. Of course, you look at the cause for kids, it's humbling and it's gratifying. There's more getting out of giving. It's very eye opening when you see how far your contribution goes. This is something that if you have the time or the opportunity to experience it, you should definitely do it because it's very emotional. My parents never paid a dime because of people like you. You can tell the impact that as a community when we come together what you can do for others. The message that I would like to put out there is that your donation matters and it's not for nothing. Even one dollar makes an impact. I would really, really one hundred percent encourage everyone to at least donate. I feel like after an experience like this, you will always want to give more. No family ever receives a bill for travel, treatment, housing, food because when a parent's here with their child, we want them to focus on helping their child live and not worry about medical bills that are piling up. And again, none of this is possible without partners like yourselves. I know how much your dollars mean and how much your efforts of just spreading the awareness are. From a patient and all the families, we cannot thank you enough for everything that you do.
