Averitt has been named a 2025 "Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation" and recognized as part of the program's Elite 30 by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women in Trucking (WIT) Association. This distinction highlights companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to employing and supporting women in the transportation industry.
"We are proud to be recognized among the Elite 30 companies for fostering a workplace where women can grow and thrive," said Elise Leeson, vice president of human resources at Averitt. "Supporting the professional development and career advancement of all our associates is a core part of our culture."
The recognition program evaluates nominations based on several key criteria, including corporate culture, competitive compensation and benefits, flexible hours and work arrangements, and professional development opportunities. Averitt's nomination was evaluated and confirmed by an industry-wide vote involving more than 21,000 transportation professionals, including executive management, operations, safety, HR/talent management executives, and professional drivers.
