That's why we'd like you to come back!
We want to reconnect with you to let you know that it's associates like you who are the driving force behind Averitt's success.
In the time since you've been gone, many things have changed and improved at Averitt - we are constantly adding new benefits, including improvements to our pay structure. Depending on how long you've been away, those changes might vary. We'd love to talk with you one-on-one about your unique case.
Right now, there is a place for you - there are many open positions for you to choose from, so you can come back to a rock-solid company with plenty of room to take your career to the next level - and you can pick back up right where you left off.
Like you were never gone:
Associates who return to Averitt within 10 years of leaving can reinstate their benefits on the following schedule:
- Medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA and 401k benefits will all take effect 30 days following your rehire date
- Company-provided life insurance will be in place 30 days after your rehire date
- Holiday pay will begin 30 days after your rehire date
- Additional insurance benefits such as Voluntary Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, and Critical Illness Insurance will be available at the first Open Enrollment following rehire
- Short Term Disability eligibility begins 1 year after rehire
- Length of Service - you'll regain your entire length of service (minus your time away)
- Paid Time Off - your length of service will be used to determine your PTO. You can schedule 1 week of PTO if rehired within the same calendar year. Full PTO amounts start the following year after your rehire date.
How do I come back?
If you're ready to come back now, the process is simple. You can use any of these methods to let us know you're ready to wear red again!
- Reach out to your previous manager / leader to let them know you're interested in coming back

- Check out available positions in your area online here - Once you select a position, you can simply transfer your existing application and make a few quick updates to get started

Once you're back on the Averitt team, you'll be scheduled for a trip to Cookeville for orientation. We can even get you some new uniforms if you need them!
