Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a program for student drivers or recent graduates?
Yes, we welcome drivers who have recently graduated from an approved driving school and are interested in joining our team as a regional or dedicated supply chain driver. We provide five weeks of paid training and a $1,000 tuition bonus after six months!
What if I have experience but haven’t driven in a few years?
Our refresher training program is the perfect situation if it’s been a while since you’ve driven a commercial vehicle. Get one week of paid training, and then move into great mileage pay!
What if I don’t have my haz mat endorsement?
You can apply for a Regional or Dedicated / Supply Chain (limited accounts) driving position. If hired, just apply for your haz mat endorsement within 30 days of hire and we’ll reimburse you for it!
I’ve submitted an online application; when will I hear back from you?
We are committed to only adding the best of the best to our team. In order to do that, we have put together a very thorough hiring process that includes a background check, experience verification, safety review, etc. Our hiring team will contact qualified candidates when it’s time to take the next step in the process.
Are there opportunities to move into other driving or non-driving positions with Averitt?
We’re very proud of the many associates who have transitioned into different positions with our team. You can move from our regional truckload team to our local pickup and delivery operation, or work your way into a leadership position. Many of our sales associates, service center directors and other leaders began their careers with our team as part-time dock associates or drivers!
I have a specific question to ask a recruiter. How can I get in contact with someone?
Communication plays a very important role in our team’s success, and we make sure to start that open dialog before you even come on board. But if you do have additional questions, you can contact us at email@example.com or by clicking on the link at the bottom of the homepage.
